Circle of 7 is Proud to Support the Life After Fifty’s Computer Lab

This past Wednesday was an exciting day at the Life After Fifty recreation centre, with a $14,000 cheque being presented to help fund a new computer lab. This highly anticipated initiative was a joint project between Circle of 7 and Caesars Windsor Cares, with ongoing support from Life After Fifty. With a combined crowd of members and media representatives, the morning started with Executive Director Calvin Little welcoming everyone and explaining exactly what the non-profit organization does, and why it’s so important to have such great community support.

Screen Shot 2016-02-12 at 11.33.26 AMA computer instructor for the organization had the opportunity to get up and explain the importance of this new lab, and what it provides to the seniors in the area. The computer lab which is located on McEwan Avenue, is open to any area senior to use without any membership requirements. The donation will help to replace old computers and outdated software and equipment. This will provide the organization with the tools they need to provide proper training and education to seniors, helping them to connect with loved ones and stay informed about community news and events.

It was just last year that Circle of 7 contributed to the purchase of a minivan for the organization. After seeing what an impact this type of donation can make in improving the lives of those in the community, it seemed fitting to provide assistance to rejuvenate the computer lab for seniors to utilize in Windsor-Essex County.

Circle of 7’s member Tony Haddad spoke before presenting the cheque with a representative for Caesars Windsor. Dedicated to improving the lives of others within our community, this presentation of funds was the result of ongoing fundraising and initiatives that the Circle of 7 is proud to be a part of.
